Enterprise Singapore and IPI participated in the EUREKA Global Innovation Summit, held from 14 to 16 May 2019 in Manchester, United Kingdom (UK). An international meeting place for businesses and innovation agencies to share knowledge, network, collaborate and secure future business growth opportunities, the summit’s theme was Innovating Across Borders for Business Growth. A funding programme GlobalStars between Singapore, the Netherlands and the UK companies focused on medical technology, smart mobility and advanced manufacturing was also announced.
At the panel discussion on Collaborating with Asia, Lim Ming Khai, Deputy Director of IPI, shared about the innovation and enterprise ecosystem in Singapore and how European companies can partner Singapore companies and access the Southeast Asia markets. The other speakers, Dr Sara Medina of SPI and Jyotsna Gogineni of Global Business Inroads, spoke about doing business in China and India markets respectively. The session was moderated by Dr Katrina Hayter of Innovate UK and attended by businesses and policy makers.
