With the aim of helping local food manufacturers and food service providers gain and maintain a competitive edge in a dynamic food and beverage (F&B) industry, IPI and Singapore Food Manufacturers’ Association (SFMA) co-organised a food innovation seminar titled “Innovate and Pivot: Capturing the Food Trends in 2021” on 14 April.
Participants from local food businesses gained insight from industry expert, Jolene Ng, Senior Global Analyst for Food and Drink at Mintel, David Tan, SFMA President as well as IPI’s Innovation Advisors on the F&B trends that companies could explore in the coming year and beyond.
Held at Trade Association Hub, the seminar also incorporated four breakout tracks that allowed participants to share ideas and discuss in greater detail selected topics with IPI’s Innovation Advisors. The topics included innovative food production methods, technologies for ready-to-eat products, sustainable and healthier food sources, and opportunities that address the needs of the silver generation.
