Harish Methil is Director of AmpUp Advisory, a boutique consulting firm focusing on business strategy, business models with a particular focus on circular economy and sustainability strategies. Harish is passionate about transformational and sustainability projects and is fully committed in contributing to UN Sustainability Development Goals.
Before starting his purposeful journey, Harish was Chief Executive Officer of Raj Petro Specialities Pvt Ltd - A Brenntag Group Company, since May 2018, and managed the global business based out of Singapore. Raj Petro is a multi–faceted petroleum and lubricant manufacturing and marketing company, offering a complete range of industrial, automotive, specialty lubricants in addition to the portfolio of transformer oils, petroleum jelly, and industrial wax. Prior to Raj Petro, Harish was President of Kemin Food Technologies Asia. Based out of Singapore, Harish managed the Asia Pacific region, including India and China. Kemin Food Technologies is a part of Kemin Industries, a global privately held company that develops, manufactures, and distributes specialty ingredients to the feed and food industries and the health, nutrition, and beauty markets.
Harish joined Kemin in 1999 to oversee the building and management of a manufacturing plant in India. He subsequently moved to Kemin Agri-food Asia, in Singapore, as Vice President Operations responsible for end-to-end supply chain of Agri-food business in the APAC region. He also held Commercial Director’s role in Kemin Food Technologies, before getting promoted to the Chief Executive Officer role for Asia. Prior to joining Kemin, Harish was a project manager for the Murugappa Group. Harish grew up in a farming community and on top of that carries two decades of experience in food systems, i.e., agri inputs, food/farm animal health and nutrition, food manufacturing, food preservation, shelf-life extension, retention of nutritive value and food safety.
Harish has multiple functional expertise prior to his CEO roles and was involved in the World Food Programme through his previous employment. He enjoys his constant learning and is a member of Booth Alumni mentor club, mentoring NUS students, and engaging with start-ups, including investments.
