Technology Overview

Our technology is a Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform, originally developed in-house at The Walt Disney Company. In 2016, our platform was open-sourced. Designed from the ground up to be enterprise-first yet leveraging the decentralized nature of blockchain, our technology is a turnkey for hybrid deployments on the cloud or on-premise. The platform is ready to be adapted to enterprise data center environments and existing IT infrastructure.

Technology Features & Specifications

Built to solve the needs of high-volume enterprises, the likes of Disney.  Designed to leverage existing enterprise assets, skills, systems, and personnel.  Architected to deploy Smart Contracts written in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, Node.js, C#, and more.  Segregated and independently scalable consensus layers built for performance with smaller attack vectors.  Interoperable with other blockchains. Through our technology, more than 7,000 transactions have been completed across Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ethereum Classic. More blockchain connectors are in development.

Potential Applications

Identity-focused applications with decentralized identity, or where privacy of personal information is critical. Use cases here include login, or access to services for individuals or devices. Ledgering, i.e. recording of any piece of data where trust in the authenticity and immutability of data is required. Main applications in this area are supply chain and provenance, document management (chain of custody), Internet of Things (IoT) data recording. Incentive and loyalty programs based on tokenized modeling.
